SAP Personas and NW 740

Hi all.

In the help of Sap Personas 2 the following sentence is appear:

Implementation Considerations

• SAP Basis 740 SP03: The HTML version is supported only on 740 Basis versions.
• Latest Kernel Patch
• SAPGUI for HTML: The HTML version requires SAPGUI for HTML
• Dynpro Screens: Personas Editor is available only for classical DYNPRO screens and is not applicable for other UI technologies like Web Dynpro, CRM and SRM Web UI.

What does it mean ? Which features are available when Sap Personas runs on  system, based on NW 740 SP3 only?

The highlighted line refers to the HTML version of the Personas 2.0 product that is not dependent on Silverlight. Personas 2.0 HTML requires the 7.40 kernel as opposed to the Silverlight-based product for which the minimum is 7.21.

However if you want to avoid Silverlight in your Personas project, then wait for ver. 3.0 to become generally available because the 2.0 HTML version has a restricted feature set which lacks scripting and tab merging.

3.0 supports both of these features.
