What happens if we delete datavolume_0000.dat in SAP HANA ?
I belive it is like a kind of crashing SAP HANA database .
In case if we delete it , can we restore the orginal databse by using the existing backups ?

As we don't know your backups, nobody will be able to tell you if you will be able to recover the database again.
Once you delete any of the SAP HANA system files the indexserver will perform a hard stop (crash) as the persistence layer is not available anymore.
All in all, this question is close to a interview question...

Actually,my requirement is to delete the entire data content from SAP HANA Dtabase . Is it poassible ? I tought , if we delete the datavolume_0000*.dat , this can be achived.
and more over.. if i want to clear the entire SAP HANA database (i.e it should look like newly installed one ) ... how is it possible ?
