We are now moving from Solution Manager 7.1 SP6 to SP12,

We have configured many managed systems, Do we need to rerun managed system setups again?

Hi Arun

It depends, I have not seen any ware stating run managed system after upgrade But, if your upgrade consists Host agent, Diagnostic agents etc.. i strongly suggest MSS to make sure satelite systems are in sync with Solman in terms of after upgrade.

good luck

Hi Arun,

You shouldn't need to, but as    says, it's a good idea to do so as it often pops up new requirements - sometimes different authorisations for the users in target systems.

I typically do so for Production systems, other systems are done as I get to them down the road.  I have never found it to hurt anything  to re-run steps, and there have been times by doing so the previous green light flips to red and lets me know I have a problem with the system post upgrade.

Not really, but If it's marked for update then you will have to run that too.
