Hi,
Presently I have configured Inbound Process with Packing & VAS order(to post comsumption of packaging products used in work centre for packing).
The VAS order gets created automatically for the Inbound Delivery via "Define Relevance for VAS".
I am facing one issue while checking the VAS order in TX:- /SCWM/VAS_I
Issue:- VAS order is not able to determine the work centre.
Presently i am using EWM 9.1.
Please let me know what could be the configuration missing or any SAP note to be implemented for the same.
Regards,
Ankush
Hi Ankush,
Have you assigned external step in the packspec(under Warehouse tab for the level)? The work center gets determined from there.
Hope it helps!

Anshu

Hi Ankush
as vas order is getting updated then most of your vas config is good,
Check WC to external step assignment.
Check packspec same step is getting updated.
Check Bin to WC assignment in easy access.
Check tcode /SCWM/PACKSTDT Optimizing Work Center Determination if it is use full for you.
Check you have used proper process type for VAS (8050).
In Storage control config check have flag rule based for VAS with bin entry in SC table.( Automatic finding WC)

Hi,
Check WC to external step assignment.
- Already done.
Check packspec same step is getting updated.
- Already configured in the level Type
Check Bin to WC assignment in easy access.
- Configured in /scwm/tworkst
Check tcode /SCWM/PACKSTDT Optimizing
Work Center Determination if it is use full for you.
- Used already
Check you have used proper process type for VAS (8050).
- If you meant to say..storage type copy of 8050
..I think it is not required. I have made a copy of
8010...both have same properties in Define
storage type.
In Storage control config check have flag rule based for
VAS with bin entry in SC table.( Automatic finding WC)
- Already Configured

Hi Ankush,
I had the same problem. I solved this issue by setting up proper "Goods Movement Bin Determination" in Inbound Delivery.
Goods Movement Bin in Inbound Delivery –Item level should be determined automatically.
Then system sets the source storage type as 9030 or 9010 (to which the Goods movement bin belongs to) and accordingly it searches for the destination bin for next step in POSC. All these should be automatic.
For this, you can set the WPT – source storage type and source storage bin (example- 9030 + Door_bin)
In POSC settings, make sure for your VAS step, the source storage type is either 9030 (because Goods movement bin is from 9030) or empty.

Hi Sashidhar.
"Setting up proper Goods Movement Bin" doesn't make sense over here.
On the other hand, let me describe the issue in detail:-
1. I have created two work centres for packing lets say ANK1 &ANK2.
As we know that while creating the work centre, we need to mention the following details:-
- storage type
-inbound section
-outbound section
Hence for the above work centres -
external step and storage type is same.
While the storage section is different.
While in the TX:-/scwm/tworkst
The bins assigned to the work centre are as follows:-
I have customized the storage type "ANK1".
Since, the storage bin ''ANK1-08-03-A'' is already occupied , hence for the next delivery the storage bin ''ANK1-08-03-B'' should be picked(i.e the work centre ANK2 should be assigned).
Hence, for the 1st delivery , VAS order gets assigned the work centre ANK1
But for the 2nd delivery , i am facing the below issue
See the application Log -
Task for moving the HU from staging area to pack work centre gets stuck in the queue.
Hope , you understand the issue.

Ankush
Hi Ankush,
If its non POSC Vas work center has to updated manually. And if its POSC then work center will get update automatically.

Hi Jobi,
Yes I have mentioned the source and destination for the same.
The issue is: The work centre gets determined for the Handling unit in the respective external step. But the VAS order (TX:-/SCWM/VAS_I) doesn't able to determine the work centre.
Any idea what could be other customizing missing ?

Ankush
Hi,
This is the below sequence for inbound Process:-
1. Unloading - IB01
2. Quality Inspection - QI01
3. Packing - VS02 (Vas order gets generated based upon the packspec mentioned for VS02 step)
4. Putaway - IB03
I have mentioned the work centre for VS02 step and also have customized TX:/SCWM/TWORKST.
Regards,
Ankush
