It depends on your meaning of "rework".
If rework is associated with logging NC with disposition to NC routing, then it is better to count a number of LOG_FAILURE codes in Activity Log Report or a number of Failure NC Codes in NC-related reports.
If rework is just a returning SFC back to already passed routing step, for example, via a loop in the routing or via SFC Step Status, then you should check WIP.SFC_STEP.TIMES_PROCESSED field in the database directly.
