NEW PO7.4 whats need to do?

Dear Techies,

we got the new PO7.4 dual stack server.

presently scenrios are running on PI7.0 (3 diff landscapes DEV:QUA;PROD) which was connected to the ECC6.0 (ECC contains 3 diff landscapes DEV;QUA;PROD). My scenarios are PROXY to JDBC some FILE to FILE and XI to RFC.

we are planning to upgrade the system.

1. what are the changes i have to do in new PO server ?

2. From ECC we have to connect the new PO server without removing the exsisting PI7.0

If possible please share some docs and if not give the reasons.

                               OR

I wil expoer my entire ESR and ID  from 7.0 to 7.4 and change the server path in ECC (SXMB_ADM) to 7.0 to 7.4 ?

which one is the best way to do

Please suggest me

Thanks

Dileep

Hi Dileep,

1. For ESR you can import the objects from Pi 7.0 to 7.4 ESR...but for ID objects you need to do move these on ICO's...manually/or by using tool

Few Checks:

2. For Proxies, you can use the SOAP over Proxy approach to route the messages over AEX instead of IE.

If you have any java mappings/adapter modules.. you should recompile them.

There are many features that are are part of new version. May be you can redesign your interfaces to improve the performance etc.

You can also make use of content migration tool ..

>>> From ECC we have to connect the new PO server without removing the exsisting PI7.0

I believe It should be possible by creating sender..receiver ID and by adding new entry in sxmb_adm.

Have a look at the below blogs
