SAP SRM PDP

Hello Guys,

We have a requirement to implement PDP in our Project,

Two ways to have this PDP,

->BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER

->ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST---------------BADI

From my understanding SRM 7.0 with ECC 6.3 and below can use BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER.

Where as ECC 6.4 and above should be handled with ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST.

Please let me know which are the factors to be considered for choosing among this options.

Is it mandatory to have PI system if we opt for ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST (BADI)??

if we implement ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST (BADI) how to decide which PR's need to be transfered to SRM??

Hi Kiran,

Its not mandatory that you have to use the new method (BADI) from the version ECC 6.4 onwards. You can still use the old method of PDP (BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER) .

We are on ECC 6.17 and SRM 7.8 and still use the same old method.

If you are going for ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST then Yes PI will be required to decide to which system you want to send your requirement.

In BADI, you can maintain the filter based on Purchasing Group, Material Group and the system where you need to send.

Thanks for your Response.

Can you please let me know your ECC version and SRM Version.

If we implement BADI the filter on Purchasing Group and Material Group can be used ..but do we have any Table to maintain this data..I mean similar to V_T160EX table.

Hi Kiran,

I gave you our SAP versions in my last post.

ECC 6 EHP 7 with Support Pack (SP) 17 and SRM 7 with SP 8.
