Native ECC validations in MDG?

Hi,

We know that ECC 6.0 has existing validations and MDG can use them.

Can anyone direct me to a link or a tutorial on how to use these validations (I am NOT asking for brf+).

I need to put a lot of validations and I want to use ECC 6.0 native validations in the first place before moving to brf+...

A detailed answer or a similar link would be awarded points.

Thanks

Dear Vinayak,

The using of the validation depents up on the Which data model u are using.

1.If you are using the Re-use model then the ECC validation will automatically.

2.if you are going with Flex model the you have to define the Validation.

eg:If  you are using the MM reuse model all the validation define in Material type  will reflect automatically

I am using the flex mode.

1. What do you mean 'define validations'?

2. Can't I see the logic which 'reuse mode' uses for these validations? i suppose these validations' logic will be given in the access classes..right?

Hi,

in flex mode you cannot use ECC validations:

1. Flex mode is intended to run without any ECC being present.

2. Many of the ECC based validations rely on the fact that data to be checked is part of the ECC tables - which will never be the case if you use flex mode.

If you want to use ECC validations, use a re-use model.

Best regards

Michael
