Hello GTS gurus,
One of the AES filing requirement is :
When two or more items are classified under the same Schedule B number, the
Schedule B number should appear only once on the SED with a single quantity, shipping
weight, and value, unless a validated license requires otherwise or, the shipment consists of a
combination of foreign and domestic merchandise classified under the same
Schedule B number. -
Has anyone implemented this enhancement for generating Idocs in GTS combining multiple line items before sending to Seeburger/AES ? Any pointers ?
Thanks.
Beejoy
Hi Beejoy,
The latest version now includes an Aggregation Schema for USA Exports. You only need to assign the schema to the Activity Sequence, and it should work perfectly.
Let us know if you need more details.

Hello Dave,
Thanks for your reply.
For US Exports I don't find the Aggregation Schema option.
Process Templ. USACE Customs Processing - USA (Export, Import)

Is the Aggregation Schema for US Exports available for 10.0 version ? (Saw Greg's request for US exports Schema in the Idea place - Don't know if this was acted upon)
Regards,
Beejoy.
Hi Beejoy,
Ok, I will try to find more details - maybe it's very new. Meanwhile, please try one of the other schemas to gain experience of the aggregation; and in fact you might find that your Declarations are sufficiently aggregated by one or more of those schemas.
The schemas don't differ by much, since the idea is always the same. Commodity Code is always the main criteria for aggregation. Different countries may have slightly differing requirements for other fields (for example, the "Range of Goods" field is a splitting necessity in some countries, but if you never use that field, it won't matter).

Dave
Hello Dave,
Do you know if OSS note was released for US AES for Item aggregation ?
For Sweden, the note for Item aggregation was released in 2013..
1884726
1891858
May be Christin Munick, Michael Shields or Ann Marie can comment if they are aware about US AES aggregation note?
Thanks and regards,
Beejoy
Hi Beejoy,
It seems I was mistaken about a schema for USA - nothing is available yet. But the important thing is to gain experience with Aggregation in your system. All of the existing schemas try to combine items with the same Tariff Code (Schedule B number as you call it), and I expect you'd get good results. Typically, the schemas also take into account many other fields, such as item currency, Country of Origin, Customs Procedure Code, and so on.

Dave
Thanks Dave.
I have used the German schema and am experimenting in our system.
We had a request from our Compliance team to aggregate the items with same code - as best practise.. AES is not rejecting the submission even if we declare individual line items.
Is this standard request for US Exports submission ? How others are handling this request ?
Thanks and regards,
Beejoy.
