Refresh of a dual-stack system in Netweaver 7.31

I have to refresh a dual-stack test system from production system in Netweaver 7.31.

What is the method or the procedure ?

Backup and restore should work for systems based on NW 7.3

As far as I know export and import of the Java schema is no longer required.

thanks, and after the restore, do I have to execute these steps ? :

Run the installer and choose <Product><Database>System CopyTarget System<System_Variant>Based on AS ABAP and AS JavaDatabase Refresh or Move to install the database.

When the installer has completed the installation of the database, adapt the profiles in the application server on the target system by reassigning the profile IDs of the Java instances. Make sure that they are the same as on the source system.

I believe you are referring to the chapter "6. Copying Single Instances Only"

6.1 Copying the Primary Application Server Instance Only

6.2 Copying the Database Only – Move

The above options are used for moving the CI or DB to a different node.

I am not sure whether the third option "6.3 Copying the Database Only – Refresh" is required or not but I would follow the system copy guide and then check the whether there is a need to adapt the Java instance ID's as suggested in this blog.

do you mean the main steps are :

   1 - Backup on the source system

   2 - Restore on the target system

   3 - SWPM - Database Refresh

   4 - Follw-up Activities on Target system

No export on source system.

Do you agree with these steps ?

Do I have to rename the database or this steep is completed in SWPM ?

I have to perform a systemcopy of a BW 7.3 Dual Stack (ABAP and J2EE) on ORacle/Aix.

Could you shed some light on how you performed your system copy ?

Did you perfrom an export of the J2ee schema ?

Did you use SWPM  to rename the database ?
