Hi all togehter,

after I successfully set up an SAP GUI Insatllationserver based on 7.30 I am trying to do the same for 7.40

on the same mashine in a different directory.

directory for 7.30 --> D:\SAPGUI730SVR

directory for 7.40 --> D:\SAPGUI740SVR

Shut down LSH on 7.30 started it on 7.40

set up a central directory  to store the central config files (saplogon.ini und SapLogonTree.xml)

deinstalled everything on the client-pc, cleaned up registry files and filesin directoy

Deleted directory and left overs from:

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\SAP

C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP

Deleted all registry values

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SAP\

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\SAP

set up the new varibales SapGui.ConfigFileOnServer with the path to

\\basLab-GUIINST\SAPGUI740SVR\SapLogonTree.xml

starting Saplogon, expecting that the sap logon is caling the central configuration file???

but it did not.

And it is poorly as usual described SASP_GUI_Administration_Guide.pdf for 7.40!!

Are there any one who expierienced the same?

kind regards

Roland

Hi Rolland,

Verify if you still have the SAPLOGON_INI_FILE as a variable on your global environment.

Additionally you could check in the installed user options where if these setting its active or not.
