Product Interchangeability

Hi Experts,

I have two scenarios that are really conflicting to the process of Product Interchangeability

Scenario 1: There are Demands for Predecessor Product that are not passed as Substitution Demand in Successor Product but as Distribution Demand. As such, Purchase Requistion are being created.

When I ran consistency check, there is a warning message that Predecessor and Successor Product already exists in interchangeability group.

Am not sure what might be wrong as the setup is just the same. Direction is Full and Use-up: Yes

Will greatly appreciate your help as this is impacting our system greatly.

Hi, Are the predecessor and successor products also used in other INC groups? As documented, this is not supported. Please also run LLC determination to get the right sequence for heuristic run.

In the SNP Planning run /SAPAPO/RSNPDRP1 - have you selected the "Add products from supersession chain" in the scope of planning?

what version of Optimizer are you using ?   please have it upgrade to the latest version 10

only the location heuristic supports interchangeability, were you able to solve this issue?

please check the settings in super session chain

please follow the link shared by Rorie P

Try  to use other products and check if the same behavior. also try to do a consistency check in OM17 product locations

* is your situation to exhaust predecessor product stock before going for the procurement process or

you simply want to copy demand from old product to new  product,   you may want to try out realignment then.

cannot understand why? but please let us know once you have solved. please recheck the from date in the INC group.
