Java 8 security issue with ACFExecute

Hi all,

I want to use ACFExecute to open notepad.exe on a computer with Win 7 64-Bit, IE10 or Firefox ESR 31, JRE 8 (or 7) but it doesn't work.

It is not an whitelist issue. It works well on a Win XP VM. It seems to be an issue with the installed new Java-version.

it pops up following message which says that this applications has been blocked by java due to security restrictions, but I couldn't find a way to unblock my application.

do you know how to fix this?

Hi,

It's because of the enhanced security of Java in the new version. Please follow the work around to add the Exception url mentioned here: Why are Java applications blocked by your security settings?

hope this helps,

i got it...

I already found the workaround with the "execptions site list". But the problem was that I didn't ad a slash at the end of the URL. When adding the URL you have to finish the string by an / to add any subfolders to the exceptionslist.

Example: if your Applications URL is http://dom1.dom2.com:8010/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ztestapp

you have to add  http://dom1.dom2.com:8010/

The URLs

won't work because there is no / at the end of the string and thus no permission for any subfolder,

Regards
