Project version key

Hi,

This is regarding project version key.

On changing the project status, version is getting created automatically & same can be seen in the table vsproj_cn. Can anybody please tell me, from where the version key is picked up & showing in this table.

Hi Vikash,

Project version is nothing but its snapshot of current project so once you change any wbs status as REL from CRTD version would be create for it if you have set version profile in project profile

so if you want to roll back the changes then you have to remove the version profile from project profile.

Hi Vikas,

Well you have the question and you also have the answer too. But to more precise on this, please be informed that  Project Versions are used as snapshots of projects at different status or manually triggered points and this is how version key usually changes as and when project status changes to RELEASED (REL).

Read some more about project version on forum. You will be able to know about this.
