Hello Achuda,

Did you stop SAPOSCOL before changing user password?

hi ,

Owner of SAPOSCOL must be administrator of that system. but the service is started by SID<adm>. so it( <sid>adm) should also have full permission. You can check this in :\usr\sap\<sid>\sys\exe\run\saposcol.exe. .Goto properties--> security --> advanced option of saposcol.exe. and check the correct permission and owner.

if by any chance you have changed the password of <sid>adm stop the sap instance and try to start saposcol by logging through <sid>adm user and command saposcol -l.

paste the error if it doesnt works.

cheers,

yatindra

Hi,

Apply SAPOSCOL patch level 13. It should be enough to make it up and running.

If not then send me the trace files on this portal itself.

reward with suitable points.

Hi,

SAPOSCOL is nothing but the OS collector.

Check if your kernel is working properly and it has been patched properly.

Hi

Please confirm the OS which you are using?

If you are using windows then I hope you have changed the password for the SAPService<sid> in Services>SAPService<sid>>Properties.

Also if still it is not working you can change in SAPService properties to Log on as "Local System Account".

Hi

SAPOSCOL is showing <b>logon failure</b> that means there is something wrong with the user or its password which is associated with it.

<b>SAPService<sid></b> is the user which is associated with SAPOSCOL.

Check the password for this user which is used with the process saposcol.

May be you have changed the password for this user.
