How to create/configure E-mail alerts in DP/SNP

Hi Guru's,

Can someone please share any document or explain  - How to configure email alerts in SAP APO.

Even if i created a email step in macro - is there any configuration required for send external mails?

Please share your valuable inputs.

How are you doing?

Please, follow the steps bellow in order to set up the e-mail notifications:

1. Transaction /SAPAPO/AMON1: Create an Overall Alert Profile by specifying selecting option "Overall Profile" and specifying a "Profile ID". Afterwards you have to set up your preferences for it, such as "Planning Version", a period and an Alert Profile under the application you want to receive the alerts (in this case "APO: Supply & Demand Planning") and save it;
2. Transaction /SAPAPO/AMONMSG: Select the desired User and the created Overall Profile. In "Address Specifications" you can change to "E-Mail Addres" and then fill with the e-mail you want under "Direct Input" box.

Hint: you can select the "Automatic Notification" flag and schedule report /SAPAPO/AMON_MAIL_BROADCAST to run regularly in a batch job. This will send you the alerts automatically in a regular basis.

You can set sending of alerts with t.code /SAPAPO/AMONMSG.
