Installation Of Developer Workplace

I am trying to install Developer Workplace SP9 using the guide provided

as service.sap.com/instguides . From the installation master for SR1,

I select Java System -> MaxDB -> Developer Workplace -> SAP Netweaver

Developer Workplace Installation. I then provide the installation with

the location of the Java Master CD based upon the installation guide.

I am then prompted for the location of the database CD. I downloaded

the MaxDB DVD and provided that location but that doesn't appear to

work. I also downloaded the file titled MaxDB Installation for

Developer Workplace SP9 from this location Support Packages and Patches

SAP NetWeaver SAP NETWEAVER SAP NETWEAVER 04 NW Developer Studio but

that does not work either. According to sapinst I need a CD with the

label MAXDB:750xx:DEV-ED_RDBMS:MAX DB:* Where can I download this CD

from?

One last note...you might try selecting the MaxDB label in the DEVST directory when installing.

It looks like the database and IDE are now a part of the Netweaver Developer Studio install. So that CD must be downloaded as well.

I downloaded the SR1 Master and JVA DVDs from service

marketplace. Our license is for Oracle. I extracted

them locally. I then ran the Developer Workplace install which included MaxDB. From what I recall, I only had to specify the master Java DVD. Everything is included on thoses DVDs. I don't think I had to specify anything for MaxDB. It was included in the install. I did this 4 weeks ago.

These are the three CDs that I downloaded. Am I missing something?

The DVDs you need are (besides the installation master):

51030724 SAP Web AS Java + SAP Netweaver Developer Studio

51030723 NetWeaver components

(The second one is if you want to install Portal and KMC on your JDW J2EE)

I successfully installed Developer Workplace.

All you need is the the master dvd and Java DVDs from your installation.

Navigate and select install Developer Workplace. This includes J2EE w/MaxDB and Developer studio.

When it asks for the cd the second time where do I point it at?
