RFC program not registered error for all T type connection after SAP migration

Dear Experts,

We have recently migrated our EREC server from Oracle to MSSQL 2012 on

different host with Windows 2012 R2 and upgraded it from EREC 604 to EREC 617.

After upgrade we are testing RFCs of type T and all the connection

tests are giving same error as "Program <> not registered on host

<host>/sapgw00"

I have disabled firewall and set entry profile for gw/acl_mode=0

Still we are facing this error.

Please help.

Warm Regards,

Sumit

Dear Experts,

Thanks for your replies.

Actual issue was in TREX server.

TREXrfc.ini file was not getting updated so i restarted TREX server and made host entries for new host and it worked.

Thanks again.

Sumit

Hi,

1. First you have to clear which gateway belongs to the sld. Yo can check it in sld->Administration->Details
2. Does this gateway use reg_info file. Please do not disable both gw/acl_mode and gw/reg_no_conn_info.
In this case there is no security at all.
3. Please set back gw/reg_no_conn_info=1.
4. Go to the sld-gateway and check there the reg_info file.
5. If you think, that this rule covers the incoming TP programs
P TP=* HOST=172.*.*.*
than it should works.

6. If the registartion rules are correct, it is possible, that there is problem on the sld-gateway side. In this cace please let me now the kernel release and version of the sld gateway.
What is exactly the result of the TREX connection test from sm59?  Pleas attach.

After a migration you need to request a migration key from SAP market and run the transaktion SECSTORE and run the system data changed.

Hello Sumit,

I can see from your gateway logs that your system has a reginfo file. As per the settings of the reginfo file, it allows entries from 172.*.*.* and from the localhost. Is your TREX running on a host which has IP starting with 172?

Please note that gw/acl_mode governs program registration only if the reginfo and secinfo file are not present. You could possibly try adding an entry to your reginfo file or try removing the reginfo file in itself.

Please do let me know if it helps.

Thanks and best regards,

Hi Diptiman,

I have tried removing reg_info file earlier but still issue was there.

And yes my host ip starts from 172 series.

Hi Sumit

After migrated have you check the SLD configuration? I thing it's problem in the Central SLD gateway.

Where is you central SLD system? if possible during off peak time you can stop & start the Central SLD and then check the same.

Hello Sumit,

If you have "gw/acl_mode = 0", and then you have removed the reginfo file, you must reload the security rules by accessing the transaction SMGW, menu Goto -> expert functions -> external security -> reread.

Only removing the reginfo file (without reloading the security rules) will not work.

You can also read the following WIKI page, that has information about these security rules.

Hello Sumit,

Please try setting gw/reg_no_conn_info to 0.

Hi Sumit,

Check dev_rfc* logs and make sure the entries are correct ? We you run the test from SM59, you can share those logs too.

What is the status of Gateway ? Also, can you share GW* parameters ?

If you are getting the error for SLD_UN only, then above error is related to RZ70. I believe you should put you SLD host and SLD gateway details in RZ70/SLD_UC/NUC or before that delete these RFCs and update RZ70.
