PR status as 'Rejected' in External Source tab

Hi,

Transferring the PR through PI with the BADI configuration.

Since when we reject the SC that is created from PR in the SOCO, the Status will not be updated, where as the CLOSED field in PR is updated.

When the PR status will be updated as 'Rejected' in External Source of Supply tab.

Hi,

Let me explain the design logic here:

If we cancel or reject one shopping cart in sourcing, the source_rel_ind
would be set as 'Y' and the corresponding PR in backend will be closed.

Two relevant notes also state this standard behavior which are both
implemented in your systems, so we could not disobey the standard design

SRM: 1379883 External Reqs not Closed after item is completed in SOCO
ECC: 931094  Soco: "Complete Item" - Processing Status is set to "B"

The backend note treats about the issue when shopping cart is completed
in SOCO, backend PR is updated with "closed" indicator, but PO is not
updated with any information.

For the status of 'external source of supply', 'rejected' means that
the PR is not sent to SRM SOCO successfully. So in this situation, the
status here should not be set as 'rejected'.

Thanks for the reponse. Appricated!

As you mentioned,

For the status of 'external source of supply', 'rejected' means that
the PR is not sent to SRM SOCO successfully. So in this situation, the
status here should not be set as 'rejected'.

In my system, Some of the PR that transfer got stuck in SAP SRM with some error, in that case the PR is status 'Pending' or the XML is not generated at all in ECC itself for some PR, in that case als it is 'Pending'.

So i didn't see any 'rejected' status in any PR.

Please clear me if i am wrong.

Hi,

I think 'pending' is status that PR failed to be trasferred to SRM side, but 'rejected' means that PR is not going to sourcing.

Dear Ivy,

In the below case the PR is updated with status 'Rejeceted'.

1. Create a PR in ECC and for the same SC is created in SRM.

2. Reject the items in SOCO, the Closed field is updated as 'X' in ECC,

3. Change the same PR in ECC, the Changes are send to SRM and updated.

4. The Confirmation XML message, which triggers for change is send from SRM to ECC is updated with Rejected.

Kindly check and confirm is it correct.

If PR/ Shopping cart is rejected in SOCO, the System status will be updated as rejected in the ECC PR. Please check the PR Status will be changed and The closed indicator tagged in the PR Once Shopping cart rejected at SOCO.

If PR is triggered to SRM and failed to reach SRM, The system status will be shows as Pending. PR Message can be seen from SXI_Monitor.

Hi Ram,

Please refer to the statement in following note:

1872766 - External Sourcing status not updated, remaining on 'pending'

standard behavior is that:

once PR is sent to SRM sourcing cockpit, and it is rejected in sourcing, then the closed indicator  will be set and status of PR will be changed to rejected after receiving the XML confirmation from SRM.

In SRM side, source_rel_ind will be set as Y after rejected in sourcing.

where at that time there is no XML message is triggered.

Is there a bug or any other config need to be done.
