Hello Jonathan,

QCM tables are temporary tables that were created during some operations. You can check them using SE14 --> Extras --> Invalid temp. table.

In General Technical Preparations section of System Copy Guide it is mentioned that;

"

Before you run the export and after you have performed several checks, delete QCM tables on the source system.

"

You can also check

Hi

We did check that BUT it there was no invalid temp tables, when doing the export we had to manually remove the entry from the task file.

Thanks

Hello,

QCM and QCM8 tables are used when you make modifications to a table and the table contains data. Then the procedure is as follows:

- rename the TABLE to QCMTABLE

- create TABLE anew with the new structure

- insert the data from QCMTABLE into TABLE

- if this was successful drop QCMTABLE

If there is a QCMTABLE left, this means a modifications once fails and the QCM table might contain data !! You should not drop them before you checked if the data they contain is in the original table or not.

In addition to excellent comments about QCM tables please read carefully about how to check and what to do with QCM tables in official system copy guide from SAP.
