Start Hostagent with <sid>adm

Hi experts,

is there a possibility, to start the hostagent with <sid>adm?

Because saphostexec is set to root.

And if I execute hostexecstart -start or -restart I get permission denied on saphostexec.

So has the hostagent always to be started by root?

Kind regards

yes, and that is why you have one agent per physical host and it's how is does it's job.

Thats very helpful thx.

It makes sense to be executed not by a SIDadm.

But my problem is at the moment, that it wasn't started by starting the host.

I will check the permissions now of sapinit.

Thank you for you help.
