Table Spiltting for SAP 4.7

Dear Experts ,

We are doing hardware migration along with unicode conversion using export & import with out table spiltting but  2 packages ( SAPAPPL , SAPCUST)  alone SAPAPPL package was take more then 36 hrs  .  The source system database size  is 1.2 TB.

The Installtion Master is not having  TABLE spiltting option .

Kindly let me know , how can  I approach in this situation  .

How can I use table spiltting?

Kindly find the below environment of source & target.

Source :

SAP : SAP 4.7 ext 110

DB: oracle 9i

O/S : HP-UX 11.23

Unicode : No

Kernel : kernel 640 patch 404

Installation Master DVD : 51020317

Target :

SAP : SAP 4.7 ext 110

DB: oracle 11G

O/S : HP-UX 11.23

Unicode : Yes

Kernel : kernel 640 patch 404

I think table splitting was not there for such old version using IM. You can however do it manually.

Other thing is - are you sure that you can run 4.7 on 11g ? I have not seen 4.7 on 11g running.

Please let me know how we will do manually . per example if  I use table  spiltting  using R3ta but  . We have to use migmon manullay . that option is not available in IM . is there any alternative for this .

Please suggest me ,  for this option can we use any other Installtion masters or  SL tools for getting the table spillting and Migmon manully

Yes we can run SAP 4.7 on 11g . I  checked in the PAM .

Could you refer the SAP Note for system copy on SAP 4.7 version and also how you have to request the installation media on Service market place

I have a acess to download  the installation DVD's for SAP R/3 4.7 ext 100 but unfortunely i didnt find the IM DVD which is refered in SAP Note : 971646 ( Material Number 51043575   6.20/6.40 based products Installation Master (Edition May 2012) DVD) . My environ ment  is O/S : HP-UX -11.31 & Oracle 9 i and SAP 4.7.

I have downloaded IM :51020317 from market place but this IM is not having table spiltting and Migmon manually option

Could you Please advice how to downloaded respect IM DVD which is contatin Table spiltting and Migmon manually or you may suggest how to approach

Hi Vijay,

As far as I can recollect, R3TA and PL/SQL(Oracle 10.2+) method needs Migmon, and migmon was not available for 4.7 release.

One that works for you is package splitter
