Hi All,

We planning to use the Solution Manager 7.1 [SP10]  version to monitor the following component [of ERP and EP]  in technical monitoring.

CCMS SPOOL monitoring

CCMS TableSpace monitoring

CCMS transport monitoring

CCMS number range buffer monitoring

CCMS SAP paging usage monitoring

Utilization of CCMS extended memory monitoring

Oracle cache hit rate monitoring

Successful update monitoring of statistical information (primary index)

Successful update monitoring of statistical information (secondary index)

Health monitoring of indexing situation

CCMS dialog work process monitoring

We want, if one of the above elements reached the customized threshold limit, Alert should triggered automatically and sent to relevant recipients.

Is it possible to setup the alert mechanism for above elements in Solman, please confirm it.

Thanks
Thirumal

Hello Thiru,

Adding to Divanshu, Below link is complete guide to create your own System monitoring settings.

System Monitoring - How-to Guides - Technical Operations - SCN Wiki

Each intern Link will guide us to setup the metrics as per our need, i.e. Creating own template and Metrics, however threshold values will be as per company standard.
SAP standard templates would be helpful as well, to get a rough idea.

Regards,
Haseena

Monitoring can be done using CCMS or MAI.

It's your choice which one you want to use.

However, using MAI is more intuitive and friendly, plus expect future functions for MAI only.

Hi Divyanshu,

Thank you for your confirmation.

Is it possible to receive the alert notification from Solution manager whenever  the particular above  mentioned elements reaches the threshold limit ?.

Thanks

Thirumalai

yes, that is how we use.

Whenever, the element reports a value which is above threshold then an alert is triggered.

However, certain elements will only return Boolean values, like 0 and 1 or true or false, a classic eg is availability for which you can define your limit. They will have no threshold, just an alert in case of change in value from true to false, like green to red.
