How to get planned order instead of PR for external procured material from PPDS?

Hi,

The requirement is to get planned order instead of PR (purchase requisition) for external procured (Procurment type maintained F) material from PPDS.

When I maintain pocurement type as "X", I get planned order. But when I try to convert the same from APO, queues goes into error (Say, no work scheduling view mantained). For these materials no work scheduling view will be maintained.

In global parameter, it is to create transfer event always (Default) maintained for external procurement.

Please let me know what needs to be done to achieve the above requirement.

Hi Surajit Das,

As you can read in the following note, APO does not support planned order for external procurement:

212277
- APO-CIF: NB planned orders are not transferred

The APO System as a planning system does not support externally procured planned 
orders and always generates purchase requisitions for externally procured 
materials.
Consequently, a transfer of externally procured planned orders is 
not possible.

The only possibility I think is if you are sub-contracting - there is a functionality called Sub-contracting without source location in PP/DS, see if that helps u, link belo -

You can not cif Planned Orders for Procurement Type F.
