Backup failed

Hi all,

My previous day backup is still in backupmode and i want to make it to normal mode.As previous day backup has already terminated due to some error.Please guide me step by step process to bring to the normal mode.Due to which im not able to take todays backup.Pls take it on high priority.

O.S. Sun solaris

DB : Oracle9.2

Hi Amit,

I'm not sure to understand your question.

Are you talking about your tablespaces are in "begin backup" mode, since your backup has failed?

If this is your problem, you just must run from sqlplus:

ALTER TABLESPACE <i><ts_name> </i>END BACKUP;

with every one of your DB tablespaces.
