Yes, there is a Replication Agent for DB2 z/OS available. The RA scans  the active ( and archive  ) DB2 transaction log using IBM's IFI interface and transmits the information in the SRS LTL via TCP to the Replication Server.

DDL Replication is also supported. I have a test environment in place for a DB2 z/OS  to HANA Replication.

Works really good,

Best regards

Hello Thomas,

wihich version are you using?

in the documentation of 15.7.1 SP100 (http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.infocenter.dc36924.1571100/doc/html/sa...)

i found the following:

Primary database limitations:

  •   LOB replication is not supported.
  •   charand varchar maximum size is 32767.
  •   DDL and stored procedure replication is not supported.

Hello Dirk,

I was too fast with my reply and you are right, you can change the primary table, but DDL changes are not supported with the RA for DB2. There is a procedure described how to manage table schema changes in a DB2 z/OS as a source related Replication environment.

So you were right , but the the product works very well and i have set up a demo environment.

Best regards, Thomas
