RFC Receiver Adapter creation

Hi Experts,

  we are using RFC lookup in Purchase order interface. for this I already created RFC receiver communication channel. We want to test scenario.

we did not created any setting between ECC and PI system. only type 3 RFC destination and port existing between PI and ECC system(this is working for idocs) as of now we did not used RFC adapter in our project. I have some doubts regarding connection.

1. which type of connection we have to create between ECC and PI(RFC destination)

2. from PI to ECC what connection required(we require TCP/IP connection from PI to ECC?)

3.if we create TCP/IP RFC destination from ECC to PI in which system we have to register program id and what is the process

4. for program id registration we need run any program? if we have to run Basis will or PI resource?

Type:TCP/IP

no need to run any program

for TCP/IP from PI to ECC  the program id should register in PI server right?

Hello ,

The Program ID first needs to be maintained in RFC.

After that this program needs to be put in SAP PI NWA -> COnfiguration -> Infrastructure -> Apllication Resources-> InboundRA resouce adapter properties.
