Add a new dropdown in Travel Expense Report

Dear All,

We have a requirement that we have to add one more drop down in the expense type drop down (Image attached) because the drop-down shows more than 50 entries. By adding the second drop-down, we would allow the user to select a category from the first drop-down and then select a sub-category from the second drop-down.

Can you please assist me, how can we achieve that ?

We are on Portal 7.01

Hi Umang,

in case you are using WDJ (it looks like that from your screenshot) you would have to go for modification via NWDI/NWDS with quite a bit of effort. Since there is no technical benefit (at least I see none) in your requirement, but only a slight improvement of usability I would try to convince your client to discard this requirement.

Even if this was WDA I personally would not want to implement what you describe, because the Viewcontainer used for the receipts is very complex and prone to failure when enhanced (I can't prove this, it's merely my personal experience).
