Hi
In EWM Product Master - Classification tab I am not getting Class type 230 when I click on "CLASSIFICAITON" button.
The class 230 is available and can be selected when I created Batch Class -"EXPIRATION".
I have created characteristics ....
ZLOBM_VFDAT Shelf Life Expiration Date
ZLOBM_RLZ Remaining Shelf Life
and assigned to class 230 :
Class EXPIRATION
Class type 230
Change Number
Valid from 17.10.2014
ZLOBM_VFDAT Shelf Life Expiration Date or NUM 15 0 W
ZLOBM_RLZ Remaining Shelf Life for W01 CHAR 30 0 W
But at Product Master Class 230 is not selectable from dropdown?
Any suggestion for missing setting?
Please note - Batches , Class and Characteristics are not maintained in our case in ERP and are required to be created in EWM only.
Client reqt !

Hello
You faced this problem because you have classification by material and by batches. The information is related to batches, so you shouldn't look this information up by product master but batch classification (txn MSC3N or CL30N).

Hi Sanjay,
Did you enter the org area for class and characteristics in ECC ?
did you give the org area while doing the CIF in to EWM ?
without org area , class & characteristics can not distribute to EWM. and this characteristics can not appear in the product master classification view, since these are the batch characteristics.
You can use the T Code : CT04 & CL02 as like in ECC to check the class & characteristics in EWM.

Hi Sanjay,
It seems batch status is missed, That characteristic also required to work with batch management in ECC & EWM.
instead creating 'Z' characteristics, we can use standard itself.
class type 230 is used for batch classes not for material classification. If you want to work with material classification use class type '001' in ECC & '400' in EWM.
