Hi,

Can we create PPDS orders when cumulative demand reaches a certain percentage of the batch size ? Any standard or alternative approaches available?

Thanks Manimaran. Re-order points looks at stock .  We are looking for a solution where PPDS creates proposals based certain percentage of batch size.

Hi Subram,

I am not getting what do you mean by batch size. When someone calls a batch, it should be stocked, right?

Can you give a clear example on your requirement?

HI Manimaran,

Here is the example. You have a batch size of 1000 pc. For any requirement, you should not get any planned order till you reach 40% of 1000 ie, 400 pc. So in product view, planned orders should be created only when your requirements are more than 400 pc. Hope this helps.

Hi Subram,

So, from your example, you wanted to keep 600 PC as the safety stock.

If you maintain, 600 PC as safety stock requirement, then it will be balanced against the existing stock, right?
