Hi all,

Please clarify me with the following two scenario's,

1.) Using XI as repository for Message Interfaces and also as mode of communication.

2.) Using XI just as repository for Message Interfaces, but not for communicating( e.g a point to point communication)

Hi,

>>>>1.) Using XI as repository for Message Interfaces and also as mode of communication.

this is a standard with XI now

so you create Message Interfaces and use XI adapters to connect

to different applications

>>>>2.) Using XI just as repository for Message Interfaces, but not for communicating( e.g a point to point communication)

this may soon (with next XI release) become not true

as even for P2P connections you will use XI's directory

(at least that's what I've heard)

Hi Michal,

I have one more question related to this,

1.) How are these scenario's related to Inboud Interface and Outbound Interfaces

2.) Where do we exactly use an inbound interface and outbound interface.

Naresh

Hi,

inbound interface in XI means that the interface will be used to send data

from XI (to r3 for example) inside r3 this interface can create a class

that can be used to receive message from XI

outbound is an oposite
