Hi,
I'am doing a simple file to file scenario, everything is created. But the file is not picking from the source. As for the design and config, i think everything is fine.
where and how to find the problem.

Alternatively u can try another ftp server just to make sure that isnt the problem

First of all check whether your FTP Server is reachable from the system or not.
Check the user credentials you have provided. As file is not picking up the problem is with sender side communication.
Check the file name and file path you have mentioned in Communication channel.
It's better if you provide your configuration data. i will surely help you.

make sure you are using FTP as your connection type and not NFS
if it is NFS then it will search for the file on the application server

Check whether the Source directory,path and the file name is correct.
See the Communication channel,adapters etc.Goto Run Time WorkBench and monitor all these things.U can understand where the problem is.

check the path of ur Source directory and the type of file...and do check the status of ur sender communication channel in
RWB-->component monitoring->adapter engine--->communication channel monitoring.

1.your FTP user Id and PW
2.check the file name and extension fof it.
3.Path of the source DIR.
