Diagnostics agent on High Availability system.

Hi Friends,

I want to install the Diagnostics agent on my production system.  It is HA Cluster sytem

I have the following instances.

1. Central Instance(CI)

2. Database instance (DB)

3. Two Dialog instance.

Is is fine if i install the Diagnostics agent on CI of do i need to install it on DB kindly

Could you Kindly guide me on this to configure it is solman for the system monitoring.

Hi,

DIA agents should be installed in every physical and virtual host. For HA clusters you can enjoy the agents on fly features, which switch the servers automatically during the failover.

follow the wiki Diagnostics Agent and HA Support - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki where you will be given the set of instructions, usecases, pre req for agents on fly.

We done for couple of times, it worked well.
