I am trying to find the SAP recommendations for running IQ in a Solaris container..
Is there a white paper on this topic? Or a document with recommended settings etc when running IQ in a solaris container/zone?
Hi Matt,
To my knowledge, one important parameter to consider in Solaris Container and any system limiting cpu resources is IQ server starting option -iqnumbercpus <value>.
It sould be set to explicitly to number of cpus actually available for IQ server.
Other settings (like iqmt and iqgovern) are implictly set with formula based on iqnumbercpus value.
So, no need to set /change them if they are not set explicitly in cfg file.
