how to link GL account to wbs element

i want link the particular gl accounts for particular wbs element, where we can do this configuration.

please suggest.......

Dear Siddu,

No need to assign GL directly with WBS, it can be done through integration only.

If you can brief your requirement , why u want to assign GL with WBS, then i can help u better.

Hi Rajesh,

                        wbs element              GL

i have created 1.Procurement wbs      400010

                     2. Manpower cost wbs  400018

                     3. Testing wbs              400025

                     4. Other Charges          400030

so at the time of booking cost against procurement wbs i need to book only procurement cost gl only, if i book any above testing, manpower or other charges cost system has to thorough the error.

Expenses should be posted for respective WBS elements With proper gl's.

how can i control this......

Hi,

Please try this:

1. Set up Project types: Procurement, Manpower COst, Testing, Other Charges
2. Validation in CO Line item as below: (Example)

• Prerequisites: COBL-PS-POSID<> ' ' AND COBL-HKONT = 400010 AND Z_Transaction_Code (SET for the allowed transaction codes)
• Check User Exit
• in User Exit check for the Project type (PRPS-PRART) to the conditions as per the business requirement.
• Message: GL selected not to be used for the Project Type

Please speak to experienced ABAPer and CO consultant in your team.

Hi,

Earlier it has been discussed in forum like there is not any direct way to assign wbs to particular GL

to achieve this you have to go for development whether system would read the external z table where you have done wbs and GL combination there.
