Non-SAP Application monitoring through Solman

Hi all,

We have to monitor few  non SAP system through Solman 7.1 Sp09.

basically we need to monitor the ABAP and JAVA and NON_SAP Systems.

But the client don't have "SAP enterprise support" contract with SAP Company.

1) In this case, is it possible to monitor the NON_SAP systems from Solution manager.

2) If NON_ABAP system is down, email notification triggered from solution manager to Clients.[representative]

Hi Thiru,

You can SAPhost agent to achieve this.

I would suggest you to install this on your host and connect to solution manager system.

Hi Divyashu-san, All,

Thank you for your information. I had configured earlier times for ABAP and JAVA monitoring and received alert notification from Solution man by Host agent and diag agent.

I heard that we may not be able to get an alert notification from solman, in case clients don't have Enterprise support contract .

Our requirements:

If NON_SAP  System is down, solution manager should detect automatically and send an email notification to relevant team configured.

I was wondering about the customer who don't have Enterprise support contract with SAP may not be able to get an alert email notification from Solution manager for Non_SAP Systems.

please let us know if someone has Idea about Non_SAP system Monitoring and email notification restriction while customers don't have "Enterprise support contract" with customers..
