Hello all,
I probably know the answer to this but would like some input on my concern. Are there or is it possible to use SAP Lumira to run standard ECC reports like ME2M (PO analysis) with Lumira on a SAP ECC Business Suite on HANA system?
My understanding is there is no easy steps to do so and analytical views online needs to be built to achieve this using Lumira.
Thank you.
Hi - is there a business reason you would want to replicate ME2M in Lumira?
You could try freehand SQL or create a universe against ECC that Lumira can access.
When you say Analytical Views do you mean HANA Live?

The business does not like the SAP standard report view and would like to know if it can be accessed using Lumira.
Would free hand SQL or Universe give me access to the report (ex. ME2M) or would that need a detailed configuration ? What will the Universe consume ?
I understand that Analytical views on HANA could be consumed by Lumira , please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks
I am not a free hand SQL expert
To replicate ME2M you would have to create an InfoSet using the same tables that ME2M accesses and then use Lumira against that
Lumira can access HANA too
But as a prototype/proof of concept you could download the data from ME2M to Excel and then use that as a data source to Lumira - I would do that first and then see what your users say
Hi Zain,
you and Tammy are definitely on the rights tracks.
Just to add, a BO Universe (as a self-service semantic layer) ontop of an classic Infoset would be simple to consume & reuse for the business user, when compared to using free-hand SQL.
You could also consider a BO universe ontop of multiple HANA views. (if you rematerialized you ME2M report into HANA views)
Lumira to HANA view directly (no BO) is the simplest architecturally & fastest performance.
Regards,
H
