Hi Experts,

Currently we are using  SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP8.

I have performed Technical Monitoring --> System Monitoring. I have completed the Configuration Successfully

Host Level Metrics is working Fine.

But SAP Instance Level Metric is Grey.

When I check the Metric Trouble Shooting, It is giving me the below Error.

"No measured values have been reported by data provider"

"No measured values were ever calculated".

I have Attached the Screen Shots for the same, any Pointers to resolve this issue.

PFA Screen Shots.

Regards

Faraz

Hi Faraz,

Another option would be:

Firstly
please check SOLMAN_SETUP and make sure there are no problems in the,

- System
Preparation

- Basic
Configuration

- Managed
System Configuration (for managed system with the grey metric)

- Technical
monitoring Setup

If no issue
above to starting troubleshooting please look at the notes,

2016745 -
Grey metrics information required for analysis in technical monitoring with SAP
Solution Manager 7.1

2016715 -
Metric Troubleshoot with MAI Tools

This should give you some more information on exact error.

Kind Regards
Michael Foley

You look to have 2 different issues here.

1.  You have an extractor that is failing, which can be a correction note that needs to be applied or something error'ed on system management.

2. You have an issue with metric collection on the technical instance, I would say that if host metrics are showing up, then you may have to enable the metrics for the tech instance.  Tech system and host metrics are 3 separate areas of monitoring in MAI.

Hi Faraz,

For the error in the extractor log you need to delete the inconsistent extractors which returned the error in the EFWK AdminUI (Managing System -> Inconsistent Extractors) and note which SID
these extractors refer to

2. Rerun the managed system setup for those systems. In particular make sure
"Extractor Setup" step finishes successfully.

Please make sure this is done and check the metrics afterwards. Also take a look at he note s below:

1798842 - Inconsistent extractors return error "PPMS Modelling is not
valid. Check PPMS Keys." and

1717403 - Collective Note for Extractor FWK - ST710 ==>> latest
version to see if solves

Kind regards,
