SMP3.0 SP04. Issue with login Inventory Manager 4.0

Hi Experts,

I deploy my Agentry app (developed from scratch) and Inventory manager 4.0 on the same smp3.0 server. My app works correctly but the IM doesnt.

It displays

Logging user into server

logged in

Sending client info

This client is not logged into the server(2)

Communications error (14)

Connection failed

Ending Transmission.

I cannot find any error in the log file. Please help me. Thank you.

Hi,

From which Device you are testing this Application? what is the Version of the Client, for connect the App from SMP 3.0 SP04 we required latest Client. In latest clients Only Android, Windows Client are avilable. IOS is not available.

We face Same Error when we try to connect the application from IOS Device. same application are connecting From Android & Windows Properly with out Any Error.

Thanks Krish, My Android client is 4.0.0.1. Please tell me how to find the client 7.0.5.0. I cannot find it on Google Play and SAP download center.

you need check the Agentry Client Version, from login page click on about icon from there you get the Agentry client version. Along with SMP SP04, sap release the latest Agentry client for Android & Windows.

To find the Agentry Clients that go with SMP SP04 runtime, you need to go into SMP SP05 SDK, the Win32, WPF, Andriod, and WinCE clients can be found here.

The iOS client is on the Apple App Store, is still SP04.  You can get the Sp04 iOS client to connect if you only have 1 Agentry Application on the server.

I no longer work for SAP so no.  But normally it takes 1 to 2 weeks once it is submitted to show up on the App Store.

The SDK SP05 iOS Client was submitted to the app store so it is out of our hands and we are just waiting for Apple to approve the new version.

Hi PH Ngu,

could you please post the connection strings? Did you also maintained the UrlPath in the Agentry.ini?

This could lead to such error message. Could you also attach the startup.log file of the agentry server?

Are you using the same client player for both apps (Agentry from scratch / SAP IM).? Then please try a reset of the client first when starting to synch a different app.

there is an exception in your startuplog during the fetch of your conf file:

could you also provide the config files (J*Be.ini, Agentry.ini). please check if you are using relative pathes or absolute. I recommend relative path entries!

The parameter I mentioned you will find under App specific settings in SCC or in the Agentry.ini itself.

I use the Agentry.ini and JavaBE.ini included in the SAP Inventory Installation Package. The file path is relative.

Is there any possibility agentry server cannot find my JavaBE file? I put the JavaBE in C:\SAP\MobilePlatform3\Server\configuration\com.sap.mobile.platform.server.agentry.application.SAPIM

Did you published it or manually copied it? I recommend to publish it via SCC. Because the J*BE.ini is parsed during the server startup.

Are you trying to run a Development or Production instance of Inventory Manager on SMP3 SP04?  I am guessing development for both your custom app and Inventory Manager.

Looking at your startup.log file that was attached I see the one error mentioned above.  I also don't see the sub-URL line for the inventory manager app.  That would indicate it did not successfully load on startup which is consistent with your connection issues.

Have you modified Inventory Manager to add in additional service events or a file backend connection?

Hi Mike,

I uploaded the app using SMP Admin Cockpit. It shows Uploading Successfully. I come to the backend tab, the field Class Path and Server class are blank. I have to copy them manually from the Agentry.ini file. Then I enter the URL, it still displays "I m here".

What I have done are

1. Create Agentry App using SMP Admin Cockpit

2. Install Inventory Manager into a folder A.

3. Copy the files in the folder A into the folder of the app IM created

4. Publish the IM zip file onto the SMP server.

Please help me out of this issue. Thank you very much.

@Bill: Please let me know where to download the IM client for Android, the newest version. I am unable to find it on Google Play.

The Agentry and WPF clients can be found in the SMP 3 SP05 SDK.

  Did you solve your issue? Inventory manager and work manager, will only work on the latest Agentry clients, we have had the same problem using the Agentry from app store and google play, they aren't always up to date, so you should use the one that comes with the latest sdk.
