DR Fail-over Test

Hi Team,

We are going to perform DR fail-over test. Before going to this i have few questions.

Currently we are in OS Windows 2008 and Database SQL 2008 R2. We have already built the DR servers long back, and the proper logshipping was moving.

1. Disable the Log shipping , Stop Primary DB & Application.

2. Up the Secondary database & Application. perform the initial prechecks.

3 We will ask our users to test, to make sure activity logs are upto date.

4. Once done with the testing, we will make the secondary DB to read-only mode.

5. Enable the log-shipping.

Here my question is once they do testing in secondary, i believe it will provide few logs.

If i enable log-shipping the sync might go mismatch. What should i need to do with this logs with out restoring the database.

Nevertheless this is only for testing purpose.

Thank you

Regars

once if we change the DR database from standby to read only. Do we need to re-sync from scratch ?? or normally can we hit a command to revert back to standby mode?
