What are Forms?
Hi,
I will give you an example of newspaper.
it has got a layout.. which contains different columns and headings of different sizes written in different font styles.. for this in SAP we create different windows for different purpose.and different paragraph formats for the required fonts in respective window.
it has also got some logos and pictures.. which we draw using graphic
there may be some sentences written in italics aur sometimes in bold letters.for which we create a different character format.
and it has got many pages.
similarly in SAP we have to design similar pages for a different purpose like purchase order display.. gl display.. and other things.
all this is done in the form.
to get the data from the database we need to attach a print program to the form.
regards,
pankaj singh.

Forms in SAP Business Workflow
Purpose
You can use forms to enter data for processing in SAP Business Workflow, or to display and edit data. Using forms also enables users who do not have a SAPGUI installed on their computer to use the SAP System.
Process Flow
SAP Business Workflow supports the following types of forms:
Forms as steps in a workflow definition
These forms are related to a data structure that is saved in the workflow container. Using the Forms step type, you can generate a form from the workflow system with a structure that you can adapt yourself. This form can be used for displaying and editing the form data. It can also contain additional control elements that can be used, for example, for the approval of form content. For more information, see Maintenance of a Form Step.
You can also use a form to start a workflow. The workflow system can automatically generate the required form transaction. For more information, see Definition of Options for Starting a Workflow.
If you are using the SAPGUI for HTML, you can execute forms directly in your Web browser.
Web forms
Using Web Forms enables users to communicate with the SAP System using a web browser and the Internet. You can use web forms to:
Start workflows
Execute work items
For more information, see Integration of Web Forms.
SAPforms forms
You can implement SAPforms Forms to use forms that have been created with mail or Office applications (for example, Microsoft Outlook). You can execute these forms to start workflows, execute workflows, and start BAPIs or IDocs.
For more information, see Integration of SAPforms Forms.
