Error while installing client

Dear experts the following error i was facing when i was installing client

Error Number 0x80040707

Description: Dll function call Crashed :ISRT._RegQueryKeyValue

Thanks for your response i have resolved this issue by starting the DIAPI services in the server manager and again i installed client it was sucessfull..........

Hi ,

I am facing the same issue while installing the client, can please put the screen shot or path where DIAPI service is present in server manager.

Anybody faced the same issue kindly let me know very urgent!!

Follow the steps below to remove this key:            a. Click your Windows Start button, then either click Run or go to the Search box on the Start menu, and type regedit. The registry editor will open.            b. Back up your Windows registry.           c. On the left, locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key and click the + sign to expand it. Drill down to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager.            d. In the right-hand pane, right-click on the PendingFileRenameOperations key and select Delete.            e. Close the Windows registry and attempt the installation process again.

Hi all,

I had the same issue with 9.1 PL09.

Deleting the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager key solved it!

Why this kind of issues happens?.

Im trying to re install SAP 9 PL 12 on Windows Server, but I get the same error during the process.
