Saint/Spam error at Main Import Phase:

Dear All,

SolMan 7.1, Windows 2008R2 & Sybase ASE

During Saint/Spam applying, I am facing an error at phase: Main Import.

Error Message: stopping on error 12 during MAIN IMPORT

Also run R3trans -d command at os with SIDadm user :

Hi Ahsan,

You could refer SAP Note  1931223 - SYB: SQL Error 1105 - ASE database data and/ or log segment is full

Thanks for the note, as I am new to this Sybase ASE database, I am able to login but I am not aware of commands.

According to the note, I have performed the db backup and transaction log backup.

I noticed 1 background job RDDFDBCK getting canceled and in /trans/log/Q141012 file shows error: exit return code 12.

And Under /trans/tmp/ contains only 1 file "Q141011 not the above one.

For your reference, please see attached file for latest Ulog, Slog & Q141012.

I already checked SM21, ST22, SM37 & SM50 and provide logs for SLog & ULog as well.

Now I noticed in ST22 dumps are for, "Snap No New Entry", previously it was "CL ICF SAML CONFIG =========C"P

I am running the following command:

>disk resize name="< >", size="10240M"

In the syntax name="<  >"... I mention sapdata_1, SID_data_001.dat & tried with hostname as well nothing worked.

Can you please advice me what name to mention at: name="< ? >".

I don't understand what your problem is. You are supplying an R3trans -d output.

During Main Import phase several activity ends with return code 4.

A return code 4 is just a warning and that is not the issue here.

What is the status shown in Tx SPAM/SAINT ?

If the main import is stopped in error then check the import logs in the transport directory.

If the import is stopped on error then restart it and check the latest logs or supply them.

and then execute the steps..

Also do paste the log file SAPK-1507ZINSTPI.log file from log directory

The SAPK-1507ZINSTPI log file is very large and file is 158MB. First part is top and Last part is bottom of the file.

When I execute se11 or sm30 the t'codes gets terminated could not do anything for further.

I see issues at the database level.

Follow this SAP note

Also check the SAP note supplied by Gaurav as it looks valid to your issue.

Check permissions file  to Q141011.SID : cant open  (tpfsnam.c:438)

I already checked that note, at point # 8, its says about similar issue and asks to search snote or in scn for the issue.

I restarted the saint and observed that file Q141011.<SID> is not exists in tmp directory , and moved further with errors for other files.

\\<HostName>\sapmnt\trans it is having some permission issue.

I am applying solman abap stack, before this others were get deployed, this error comes in middle on this phase. I checked the permissions for for trans directory, its having full permission except special control.

Can you check the RFC TP_Call of TCP type in SM59.

Also do perform the Transport tool check.

To check TP_Call in SM59 its not opening to check RFCs, I checked in st22 more than thousands of abap dumps.

I also checked background jobs RDDIMPDP and reshceduled in se38 executing RDDNEWDP report.
