How to configure Mobile BI 6.09 for SMP 3.0?

Hi guys,

Where can we find the documentation on how to configure Mobile BI 6.09 for SMP 3.0?

The SAP BusinessObjects Mobile for iOS Administrators Guide for version 6.0.9 refers to SUP 2.1, 2.2 and SMP 2.3 configuration steps only.

As we all know the concepts of device registration and security configurationsa/profiles have changed since SMP3.0.

The application supports Sybase Mobility Platform (SMP) version 3.0 for SMP BOE (REST based) connections.

You can use REST-based connections (connection type: "SMP BOE Connection") only if your SAP Mobility Platform (SMP) version is:

SUP 2.2, Support Package 4, Patch 10391 or above

SUP 2.2, Support Package 5, Patch 10397 or above

SUP 2.3, Support Package 3, Patch 10398 or above.

Hi All,

Sorry nobody answered to you until now, yes I did successfuly configure the SAP BI Mobile App with SMP 3.0 in the past.

I was checking the documentation for SMP 3.0 Installation Instructions, we did provide in the past step by step instructions for SUP 2.3 indeed.

Nowadays (App 6.2.10) we don't provide any instructions for SUP / SMP at all, we refer to Sybase's documenatation.

I have to say the SMP 3.0 configuration is much more straight forward and barely needs any documentation as it is much simpler.

Our App develpers have nevertheless created in their blogs:

some generic instructions...
