staging for production order with movement type 999

Hi,

Currently we do supply material for staging through wm pp interface. In some case if we need to stage through 999 movement for specific production order. Will it cause any issues or existing process of consuming material for production order will get affected.

Thanks,

Kiran

During consumption system always check the stock in the bin defined in the control cycle so if your query is from consumption perspective then it does not matter whether you are transferring the stock using 999 or 319 only stock should be there in the bin.

Con of the above process is that upon Production order release system creates TR(based on the setting) this TR will always be open and you need to close it manually if you are trying to transfer the material using MvT 999 manually against the production order

Hi

You can issue directly to Production Order using LP12 instead of using LT01 or LT10.

You can specify material also.

If there is existing material in the production bin (PSA) you will not be asked to stage any material. However, you can input any quantity in to stage (dependent on warehouse stocks) and process this way.

We frequently stage by production order via LP12. Yes, you will most likely get a warning message regarding stocks, but if you just amend the quantity to the required qty (as per production order) then you can pick and stage stocks without regaridng existing production stocks
