Account Determination: GBB - VAX

Dear All,

I have a requirement in Account assignment during PGI. As per SAP standard during PGI, Accounting entries are

Dr COGS A/C

Cr Inventory A/C.

For the Cost of Goods Sold Account transaction key GBB is updated with general modification key

VAX (without Account Assignment)

VAY (with Account Assignment Ex. Cost Element)

VKA (with Account Assignment Ex. Individual Purchase Order)

My requirement is to have a different COGS A/c based on Customer Group.

Ex. Domestic - 500000

      Export - 5000100

Does this requirement be done. If yes how to go about doing this.

There are no standard function available for that.

Accounting entry for transaction key GBB will be depend on your movement type - Account modifier.

You can see the Account modifier is assigned for the movement type in OMWN t-code. As per the account modifier for the movement type, system will determine the G/L account from T030 table with regards to transaction event key.

There are no option to use Customer group here. You can store the G/L account with regards to transaction event key and customer group in a Z table and you have to determine these G/L account by using a user exit.

Inventory postings based on Customer Group is not possible with standard configuration.  You can try with USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_LIPS in include MV50AFZ1

which moment type is being taken for your PGI ? 601 ? OR other ?

However the general modifieres are assigned to the GL accounts through the valuation class .. What is the material type of the materials you use .?

however you can create differenet momnt types coying the PGI moments with the GLs you want and based upon the country of the ship to party when compared to the SO creating plant , you can plan a user exit to get activated while you do VL02N / PGI to take up the requisite moment type and to get posted to the required GL account .

This we have tried and achieveed.
