Hi there,
We are facing a peculiar problem with one of the Idocs metadata.
Initially, our testing team raised a concern saying data in the Idocs is jumbled. We deleted the metadata and asked them to test. When the first call was triggered IDoc was created properly. When the second call was triggered, again the issue repeated. Idocs is properly getting created just for the first call. We observed IDoc fields in IDX2 and found that few fields are duplicated. Whereas the fields in ECC (WE31) fields in the segment are proper.
We tried creating a new port and mentioned it in our IDoc receiver channel and no problem was found for few days. And after a week same issue repeated. We deleted the ports, created again. It worked for few days and issue again. If a new port is created or the existing one is recreated it works for some days. No changes were made to IDoc structure in ECC.
Also, whenever issue arises we were able to find inconsistencies in SE38-->IDX_CHECK_METADATA.
Please suggest what and where could be the problem.
Environment : PI 7.31 Dual Stack SP04
Scenario: SOAP to IDoc

Aditya
Dear All,
Issue is resolved after running the report IDX_RESET_METADATA in ECC system.

You might want to re create IDX2 transaction again with the new values. See if that helps. Also try to reimport the idoc in ESR and see if there is any conflicts.

So are you using standard IDOC adapter not the IDOC_AAE?
In case if you are using IDOC_AAE then please follow the below document to reload the metadata.
Managing IDoc Metadata Using IDoc Metadata Monitor - Advanced Adapter Engine - SAP Library
