Hi All,
When I am trying to create a short cut for a system on the desktop it is ending with the following error...
Checks:
SAP GUI Security settings are "Customized -> Allow", GUI short cut is enabled for "Read, Write, Execute" access enabled. But still the short is not
getting created but ending with the followig warning and error.
Warning:
It is not recommended to store passwords in SAP shortcuts
If you save your password,
do not allow unauthorized access to the file: C:\Users\Desktop\Sys_ID.sap. Do
you want to continue?
When I click "Yes"
the following error.
SAP GUI Security: Execution
of the SAP Shortcut
C:\Users\Desktop\Sys_ID.sap
was denied.
Regards,
Chandra.
Hi Chandra,
It is likely that your SAP GUI security settings is not correctly defined.
If there are no settings in the rules with regard to a particular action request, SAP GUI selects the default action, as it is defined in SAP GUI. This will usually be the query dialog that leaves the decision about execution to the user (Default Action = Ask). This seems to be the case for the particular action performed.
Please open SAP Logon => top left icon => Options => security => security settings => Default action = ALLOW

Hi Hugo,
Thanks for your response. I have made changes to the GUI
Security Changes already. I even created a security rule, for “C:\Users\Desktop”
with Read, Write and Execute options. Though the short creation is not
possible. The GUI security settings are “Allow” only.
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Chandra.
