License permanent for SUP 2.1 and Afaria 7.0

Hello

We currently have two systems installed SUP (DEV and PRD) and Sybase Afaria 7.0, and have found several problems related to SUP license system.

So my questions are:

How can I see if I have or not bought the permanent license for SUP?

In the case of not having the license:

What is the procedure to purchase and download a permanent license.?

     There are basically three different SUP product types:

1. Personal Developer (PD) >>
   • Here you can generate licenses for each developer per each developer machine.
   • Separate license key for each developer
2. Enterprise Developer (ED)
   • Can be used as central development server
3. Enterprise Edition (EE)
   • For production

I suggest you to look at this document for more details.

Coming to your questions:

How can I see if I have or not bought the permanent license for SUP?

You can verify it in Sybase Control Center (SCC)

Localhost@localhost(running) > Licensing>General

e.g.

What is the procedure to purchase and download a permanent license.?

It can be downloaded from SAP service marketplace. Be in touch with your company SAP BASIS administrator. He will help you on this.
