Hi Experts,

We have installed SAP ECC EHP 6 on Oracle11.

Till yesterday we were able to start SAP from MMC.

We have installed add on as XECM, it finished yesterday but still we were able to access SAP.

But suddenly today we are not able to start SAP from MMC, it becomes yellow again it get backs to grey.

So need your assistance on this.

Thanks in advance.

Regard,

Akshay

Hi

Don't get it bad but you should consider attending some SAP admin trainings...

Forget about the hostname errors, the are not critical at all.

According to the log provided, the DB is up and the connection is Ok.

So either you have some real network problems or you need to increase the number of dialog workprocess.

Hi,

when i checked we found that SAP start profile itself is not there.

Then i tried manually to create start profile .pfl file.

After this now the branch instance is disappeared.

The profiles which we have created are:

SID_DVEBMGS00_SAPIDES

DEFAULT

START_DVEBMGS00_SAPIDES - manually created.

we are not able to start Service SAPSID_00.

its throwing error as - Windows could not start service SID_.... on local computer ,error 1067 the process terminated unexpectedly

Hello Akshay,

As of Release 7.10, start profiles are no longer used in general.

The start entries (copy exe, start db-ms-app-igs ) are in the instance profile instead.

Please check Note:823941

pavan.

Thank you Pavan.

So is there any profile which we are missing?

since we are not even able to run sapstartsrv.exe file. after browsing any of these profile files.

Check the database status and provide the output of R3trans -d.

Also check the archive log directory status.

Hi,

iwdfvm2738.wdf.sap.corp

Can you update you host file with above file ?

Also, can you share trans.log by running R3trans -d.

Hi

The host+ iwdfvm2738.wdf.sap.corp+ is set as default in an IDES system, this is not an important issue.

=> Invalid URL in Cprojects

You have

1) a lot of TCP network error, that cause the client connections to close

=> connection reset by peers

Hi Divyanshu

You're welcome, there are many stupid defaults things on fresh installation, especially on IDES.

Among them there are old CTS entries, stupid content server destinations (308977 - Repositories BIE_QMM, BIE_NET, HME_CONTENT,ED,A2 and B2), useless dummy Unicode tables (*_CONV_UC)...

I should make a document about all the things that could be cleaned up...
